Sally Stanley from Balmore and Brian McCluskey from Muirhead were joined by former
Scotland rugby star, Kenny Logan, Scotland Rugby captain Jon Petrie, Glasgow Rugby
players, Rory Lamont and Andrew Henderson and Glasgow Rugby marketing manager
Gordon Hood to help them prepare for running as part of ‘Team Highland Spring’ in the
New York marathon on 6 November 2005.

Kicking off the week of his first testimonial dinner, Kenny and his team mates gave Sally
and Brian vital fitness tips and advice.

Sally is marketing director and Brian is systems development manager of Highland
Spring, the UK’s leading producer of natural mineral water.  They are running the
marathon as part of an 85 strong ‘Team Highland Spring’ in aid of Breast Cancer Care.
The marathon is the flagship fundraising event of the company’s Pure & Natural
campaign which will see a minimum donation of £150,000 to the charity.

Sally said: “Running a marathon is something I’ve always wanted to do and New York is
a dream come true.  Breast Cancer Care is Highland Spring’s official charity and a cause
close to many of our hearts and we are delighted to be supporting them in such an active
way.”
